Self-Love Journaling Ritual

What you will need:

  • Journal or Piece of paper

  • Pen or pencil

[Optional]

  • Candle

  • Lighter or matches

  • Your favourite cup of soothing tea

  • Small mirror

In a quiet room where you won't be disturbed, light your candle of choice and pause for a moment of stillness and reflection. If comfortable, close your eyes  and focus inward on your breathing, steadying it with deep inhales and long full exhales. Use the rhythm of your breathe as a lullaby  as you try to quiet your thoughts tuning into the rise and fall of your chest and belly. Try to visualize your favourite place in the world; a place where you feel most happy, confident, rejuvenated and carefree. A place where you feel love. Sit in this place for a moment and allow the feeling of peace and acceptance to wash over you.

When you are ready, open your eyes  and look into your mirror saying this line either aloud or in your mind.

 “ I see my true self, and I embrace all that I am.”

Now open your journal, writing what comes naturally; guided by these questions below. Once finished continue this moment of self-reflection for as long as you’d like, grounding yourself back by sipping a heartwarming cup of tea from your favourite mug.
